Seems every block in just about every neighborhood in Chicago has a dive bar that could pass as any dive bar. Outside, there’s red brick and frosted windows, along with a generic beer sign. Lone Wolf is a new, playful take on that neighborhood bar, capturing each of those elements, but in an intentional way. Its generic beer sign, for example, isn’t from Pabst or Schlitz, it’s from Indiana microbrewery and local favorite, Three Floyds. There’s nothing divey about the inside, either, with its deep black booths and clean lines. Located in the trendy West Loop, where the restaurant scene is booming, there are surprisingly few non-restaurant bars, and Lone Wolf fills that void.
