This bar and restaurant is a reminder that not all of Wrigleyville is Cubs crazy, and, in fact, it’s possible to enjoy a nice glass of wine while listening to self-contained musicians on weekends. Grab a seat in the living-room-like interior, or, if you still want one hand in the screaming drunk fest of Wrigleyville and one holding your pinot noir, request to sit on the patio when the weather is nice. There, you can take a deep breath and smell the fresh scent of basil, mint, and other herbs from the restaurant’s own “sidewalk farm,” part of its green initiatives and cocktail program. There’s also a second location further north in the Edgewater neighborhood, home to the first certified organic rooftop farm in the USA (1401 W. Devon Ave., tel. 773/465-9801).
