This airy market, located in the Metra’s Ogilvie Transportation Center, has upped the ante on quality and diversity of lunch offerings near the Loop. Despite its name, it doesn’t limit itself to Franco-food—although there’s no shortage of bread and pastries—with more than 30 vendors representing a number of favorite Chicago restaurants, and peddling sushi, Kosher, Italian, Belgian, Vietnamese, soup, barbecue, and more. The prices ain’t cheap, but you’d be paying much more at sit-down spots, and it’s a great starting spot to fill your picnic basket and head to the lake.
