International tourism is new to this area, and accommodations, with the exception of Palazzo Belmonte are quite basic. We tend to prefer the quality of service -- and food -- at an eco-friendly agriturismo.

Principe di Vallescura, Via Marina Campagna, Località Vallescura, near Pollica (tel. 0974-973087; www.principedivallescura.com), affords beautiful sea views and beach access; and I Fornari, Località Fornari 2, 84076 Stella Cilento (tel.0974-909204 or 3383621071; www.agriturismoifornari.it), offers upscale accommodations in an atmospheric 18th-century mill and has great amenities, including a pool.
