Frommer's Staff

Cochem’s best regional cuisine is served by the Beth family, who use seasonal offerings fresh from their market-fresh shopping each day. The three- and four-course menus vary based on season, but fresh fish and game dishes, such as venison in autumn or a fillet of pikeperch with fresh asparagus, are standard. Delectable snails, or pigeon breast with “smashed” celery in a red-wine sauce, or saddle of lamb with ratatouille, all might appeal to gourmands. There are three rooms for rent as well, should you wish to spend the night, though check-in must be done by 6pm and check-out no later than 10am. Prices available only upon request.
