Ixbalanque (tel. 504/2651-4432) has been running since 1990 and is one of the best-known language schools in Honduras. One week, with 20 hours of one-on-one classes, meals, accommodations with a local family, and a tour, costs L3,990. Guacamaya (www.guacamaya.com) has a similar program for L4,275 a week and also can arrange volunteer work.
