Just outside Cordes and set in its own park, this 19th-century mansion is a restaurant with rooms. Eat in the pretty, rather formal wood-paneled dining room with a baronial fireplace, or in the shaded garden surrounded by tall trees. The hearty dishes by chef Claude Izard use local ingredients and suppliers where possible. You might choose a starter of duck with foie gras, mains of tender pink roast lamb with garlic, local cheeses and apple croustade. Reservations are recommended.

The hotel offers 13 comfortable and well-furnished rooms, some with terraces; a double costs 70€ to 80€. You might consider half board (dinner, bed, and breakfast) from 80€ to 90€ per person.
