Tranquil, elegant gardens await at this lovely country-house B&B just outside Longford. Guest rooms are done in a pleasingly old-fashioned style, with antique wood furniture and plenty of space. Viewmount also has a deserved reputation as one of the best places to eat in the area; the VM Restaurant serves superb modern Irish cuisine, worth the splurge at €60 for four courses.
