The Blue Bull

This great little pub in tiny, picturesque Sneem serves traditional fare in a couple of cozy dining spaces. The menu doesn’t deviate too far from Irish pub classics, but it does it all very well—Irish stew, fish and chips, mussels in garlic sauce, steaks, sandwiches, and salads. The crowd, a good mix of hungry tourists and easygoing locals settling down at the bar, makes for a congenial atmosphere. This is a straight-up traditional pub with a bar area in the front separate from the dining rooms. It’s a great spot for eavesdropping on a few conversations, and possibly being asked your opinion about the topic of the day.
