The in-house restaurant of the excellent Echo Lodge ★★ is one of the best-loved, and most widely known, in the region. The restaurant’s own kitchen garden supplies many of the ingredients. The four-course menus are imaginative and scintillating; after a starter of crab with lemon verbena, you could go for filet of seabass with mussel broth, or ravioli served with a butternut-squash velouté sauce. An eight-course tasting menu is €75, or come before 7:30pm any night except Saturday for the Twilight Dinner, a slightly pared-down version of the main menu for €48. Dinner/bed-and-breakfast deals are often offered on the website.
