A luxurious, restorative, grown-up retreat, Monart is consistently named among the top spas in Ireland (Condé Nast even declared it the third best in the world a few years ago)—and for good reason. It’s a sumptuous, impeccably designed place, nestled beside a lake and a verdant forest. Guestrooms are surrounded by woodland, and some have little balconies overlooking the grounds. The restaurant is excellent, though expensive (€45 for three courses, and many dishes have an extra cost). The heavenly spa has a thermal suite (free to use for guests) equipped with two pools, a salt grotto, indoor and outdoor saunas, and an aroma steam room.
