Sipping a fine Cab while nibbling on a perfectly prepared Caprese salad at one of six sidewalk tables makes one want to linger at Le Chef for hours, and locals often do. The small bistro is best known for its legendary lobster and bacon sandwich, composed of chunks of lobster, crisp bacon strips, tomato slices, and lettuce on a fresh baguette. It's big enough for two, though yummy enough to resist sharing. Watching the buff young men lift weights at the Power Gym across the street might inspire moderation, but you’'e on vacation, after all. You won't find corned beef and pastrami baguettes or smoked duck carpaccio and roasted duck breast with tamarind and blue cheese anywhere else on the island. The reasonably priced pizzas and pastas are excellent, as well. The bar is impressive, with Jameson's, Drambuie, Campari, and other exotic imports along with fine tequilas.
