Hospedería Seminario Conciliar de San Julián

Here’s your chance to lodge behind one of the grandest front doors in town for a song. Set in the charming Plaza de la Merced, the building dates from 1746 and is still a working seminary for trainee priests, with its own chapel and library. Behind the Baroque façade, the guest rooms are newly refurbished and simply decorated—there might be a crucifix above your bed—but the level of comfort is more hotel than hairshirt. There are good options for larger family rooms too. A generous buffet breakfast (12€) is served in the wood-beamed refectory, with wonderful views of the Júcar gorge.
