Attention filmmakers: If you're looking for a place to shoot a movie about the life of Napoleon Bonaparte, you can set the, er, amorous scenes in this extravagant B&B. Seriously, every bedroom at the St. Germain looks like it was lifted—lock, stock and canopied bed—from the Chateau de Fontainbleu in France. The furniture is of fine antiques, the colors are taken from a painting by Watteau, fireplaces grace many of the suites, and every inch is decorated with Gallic flair. Don't worry though, you won't be using chamber pots: The bathrooms are modern, many marble-clad and with soaking tubs, and each attached to a bedroom. The only downside, and it's a small one, is that the hotel is set in an old mansion, so there is no elevator, meaning guests must climb stairs to their second- and third-floor bedrooms. Grand public spaces on the ground floor turn into a restaurant in the mornings (for the guests) and evenings (for anyone who makes a reservation). I can't think of a more wonderfully over-the-top place in Dallas for a honeymoon.
