Danlí is directly east of Tegucigalpa on CA 6, about 1 1/2 hours away. Both minibuses and larger "chicken buses" run between Danlí and Tegucigalpa (L80-L100) throughout the day. Danlí's station is outside of town, so take a moto-taxi (L20) to get in and out.

Border Crossing: El Paraíso/Las Manos

To get to the Nicaraguan border from Danlí, you have to catch one of the minibuses that leave every 20 minutes or so from the station during daylight hours to El Paraíso (L20; 30 min.), and then transfer to Las Manos (L15; 30 min.) at the border, where connections to elsewhere in Nicaragua can be made.
