Planning a trip to Delta Junction
Visitor Information -- A helpful visitor center run by the Delta Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 987, Delta Junction, AK 99737 (tel. 877/895-5068 or 907/895-5068, 895-5069 summer only; www.deltachamber.org), stands at the intersection of the Alaska and Richardson highways, in the middle of town; it's open from mid-May to mid-September.
Fast Facts
Bank -- Wells Fargo, with an ATM, is next door to the IGA Food Cache on the Richardson Highway at the center of town; another bank with an ATM is just south of the visitor center.
Hospital -- The Family Medical Center is at Mile 267.2 of Richardson Highway, 1 1/2 miles north of the visitor center (tel. 907/895-4879 or 895-5100).
Police -- For nonemergency calls, reach the Alaska State Troopers at tel. 907/895-4800.
Post Office -- On the Richardson, half a mile north of the visitor center.
Taxes -- None of any kind.
