This is not only the biggest and best performing arts facility in the Rocky Mountain region, it is on the short list of the tops in the country. The complex houses nine theaters, a concert hall, and what may be the nation’s first symphony hall in the round. It is home to the Colorado Symphony, Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado, and Denver Center for the Performing Arts (an umbrella organization for resident and touring theater companies). Theaters range from intimate to cavernous, and local and touring productions fill out the calendar. The rising reputation is demonstrated by numerous world premieres in recent years, including “The Laramie Project” and “Tantalus,” and “The Book of Mormon.”
