If Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard took a vacation to Florida, they'd stay here because it looks just like home, indoors and out, in all its romantic, Victorian-inspired glory. This is a welcoming, romantic, adults-only B&B that overlooks more than 6,000 ft. of coastline with a front porch you may never want to leave. Guests are well taken care of, receiving breakfast, picnic boxed lunches, afternoon lemonade and cookies, and sunset cocktails. Wine, grapes, and chocolates come with check-in, and the use of bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas are all complimentary. Most rooms have kitchenettes,  balconies, and views of the coastline. Ironically, the Honeymoon Suite has no views of the water, perhaps because it's expected you'll make your own waves in the whirlpool tub. Corner rooms have fireplaces. The Beachwalk Café offers more spectacular views and excellent coastal cuisine (try the shrimp and grits). As charming as the place is, it's not impervious to wear and tear, and in early 2014 the inn underwent a little sprucing up in terms of updates and renovations, but nothing too drastic. It retains the Victorian charm that makes this place so unique in an area better known for beachy-modern magnificence.
