AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar
AJ's is a Destin institution, located on the harbor docks, and a place where fishermen don't only unload their catches after a long day, but catch a sunset and a few beers, too. The party ambiance is emphasized by loud music and the club within the restaurant known as Club Bimini, which is open nightly and features DJs, live bands, and generally raucous good times. Food is secondary to the atmosphere, with an emphasis on seafood—grilled, fried, or in the case of the delicious Apalachicola oysters, raw. It's most fun to be here during fishing tournaments, like the big one that takes place during the entire month of October, when the larger-than-life-catches go on display against a backdrop of larger-than-life personalities.
