Although the ambiance is nice in an upscale chain restaurant sort of way, Café Thirty-A is anything but cookie cutter, with a creative, coastal menu. The restaurant is pretty cavernous, with high ceilings and separate dining rooms that are usually filled with bargain-hunting early birders taking advantage of the daily two-for-one entrée deal between 5 and 6pm. Early or late, menu highlights include grilled Georgia quail with creamy grits and sage fritters, oven-roasted grouper with andouille sausage, and a Maine lobster with truffled mac 'n' cheese and crawfish tails. A wood-fired oven churns out delicious pizzas, which are sort of out of left field given the other fare, but a delicious departure nonetheless.
