The owner of this local breakfast and brunch hot spot is the founder of its former incarnation turned chain, Another Broken Egg Café. But this is no chain. The famous lobster gouda grits are a must, as are the mouthful “croisseignets,” a sweet hybrid of croissant and beignet served with honey.  Then there are the Benedicts, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches—plus the bacon gouda grits. Their much Instagrammed mason jar mimosas and Bloody Marys—try the spicy pineapple Bloody Mary—are excellent, and for the kids, there are gourmet popsicles—the avocado and lime is a winner. A second location is in Destin at 979 Highway 98 E. (tel. 850/650-0499).
