Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After

“These days villains are preoccupied with who’s been treated the most unfairly of all,” goes the premise voiced by the Evil Queen’s Magic Mirror, your narrator by video. And so begins a boisterous 18-minute contest among Disney’s wickedest baddies to crown the one who’s most misunderstood. Most of them appear only on screens, and none of them are scary unless you’re petrified of pouting, but three of them (Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent) show up in person to prance in their wild outfits and excessive make-up as they preen and sing for your approval. Honestly, it’s not too different from a drag runway. The pre-show waiting area is outdoors but they let you in about 10 minutes before showtimes (posted in the app); the first people in sit in the center section, not that any seat is bad.
