With lush gardens and tall palm trees, this friendly boutique hotel sits just above a series of rocky outcroppings and tide pools at the northern end of Dominicalito beach. The rooms are mostly fully equipped studio apartments. All feature cool tile floors, exposed-beam ceilings, and lots of ambient light streaming in through large windows and French doors. The Toucan Nest is the prized room here, a private bungalow in a prime location overlooking the sea. The other units are all part of two separate duplex buildings that overlook the hotel’s gardens and parking area. The lodge has a small pool. Perhaps the best feature here is the excellent Por Que No? ★★★ restaurant.
