The in-house restaurant at the lovely B&B of the same name serves up excellent modern Irish cooking. The attractive, high-beamed dining room has a great view across rolling farmland to Donegal Town. The menu is seasonal, but depending on when you’re visiting, you could be offered a starter of parsnip and apple soup or a warm goat-cheese tart, followed by chicken supreme (free-range, of course) or lamb shank with almonds and fresh ginger. The little bar outside the dining room is perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap while you take in the heady scent of the peat burning fire. Booking is essential.
