Easy to spot from nearly a mile away by its chimney-shaped glass viewing tower, this working distillery is the place to come if you want to learn about one of Ireland’s most famous whiskeys. After right-in-front-of-your-eyes demonstrations, you get to sip a little of the old firewater yourself. A couple of lucky people on each tour are selected to be “tasters” and sample different Irish, Scotch, and American whiskeys. Tours run throughout the day, about every 30 minutes, and last an hour. You can get a 10% discount by booking online.
