Rooms at this chic hotel owned by Doubletree Hilton verge on futuristic, with ultra-modern furniture, moody uplighting, and a host of flashy extras, such as 40-inch HDTVs. Bathrooms are surprisingly utilitarian, given how fancy everything else. But it’s all ruthlessly clean. Every inch is painted in a million shades of white, with endless crisp, straight lines and plenty of fancy gizmos (the hotel has in-house tech support should the Wi-Fi let you down). The art can be a bit of an acquired taste, but song lyrics painted onto the walls here and there add an edge of Irish literary romance. There’s a good restaurant, the Morrison Grill, and a funky cocktail lounge, Quay 14. The staff is excellent, and regulars swear the amazing service never falters.
