This cheerful, well-run bistro near Trinity College is a popular choice with locals for special occasions. Prices are not cheap, but the food is reliably excellent. Roast meats cooked rotisserie-style are a house specialty. Try the beef filet with fondant potatoes, or dig into a plate of juicy prawns flavored with sea salt and jalapeño peppers, served with crab claws, lemongrass, and thick-cut French fries. Vegetarians are catered to as well, with choices such as vegetable tagine or spinach and ricotta tortellini, and pretty much all of the food here is celiac-friendly. Service is topnotch and the portions generous. The pre-theater menu is a good value (€30 for 3 courses, served all night Sun–Wed and until 6:30pm Thurs–Sat). A popular Sunday brunch served until 3:30pm is accompanied by a jazz band.
