On the ground floor of Tvrđava Sv. Ivana (St. John’s Fortress), this aquarium provides an experience of underwater Adriatic life. A dark, damp, cavernous space with 31 backlit seawater tanks and pools, its charges include indigenous fish, as well as octopuses, starfish, urchins, sponges, corals, and sea horses.
