Visitor Information
The Cobh Tourist Office is in the Sirius Arts Centre, the Old Yacht Club Building, Lower Road, Cobh (021/481-3301). It’s open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. Seasonal tourist offices operate at the Jameson Centre, Midleton (021/461-3702), and Market Square, Youghal (024/92447).
Getting There
If you're driving from Cork City, take the main Waterford road (N25) east. Exit at R624 for Fota and Cobh; Midleton and Youghal have their own signposted exits. Irish Rail (www.irishrail.ie; 021/455-7277) operates daily train service between Cork City and Cobh via Fota Island. The journey takes about half an hour. Bus Éireann (www.buseireann.ie; 021/450-8188) also provides daily service from Cork City to Cobh and other points in East Cork.
