Horse Racing -- There is live horse racing just outside of western El Paso (actually in New Mexico) at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino, 1200 Futurity Dr. (tel. 575/874-5200; www.sunland-park.com). The racing season runs from December to April (simulcast racing from around the country is featured year-round). There are also restaurants, lounges, and a casino on-site.
