It’s a pocket-sized grab-and-go joint that does one thing, and one thing only, but they do it so well that people have been known to expend a quarter tank of gas just to pop by and grab a few orders of the amazing fish and chips. The skin-on fries are fresh-cut, never frozen, and are crispy, soft-centered delights. The fish, too, holds up to scrutiny. Wild-caught cod comes in from Newfoundland, while the halibut is flown in from the Arctic. The batter is light with an excellent crunch, sating your deep-fried desires without masking the flakey fish underneath. There’s no seating, but Bissell Park is a short stroll away and has picnic tables.
