The owner of boutique Woods Hole Inn a few blocks away (see below) has updated this old motel into a freshened-up bargain for families. Many rooms have mini-fridges and some have microwaves. Besides the new decor in all the rooms, the courtyard has been reimagined as a family-friendly outdoor space with “fire ball,” which is a large, artistically designed fire pit, and yard games. The motel is walking distance from the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and the village of Woods Hole, which has restaurants and a wide variety of land- and water-based activities.
