What makes this hotel recommendable is its service, which is friendly and very diligent. As for the guest rooms all fairly small and lack much in the way of style, but they are immaculate and do have ceiling fans, and air-conditioning—although some of these A/C units can be rather old and noisy. Most come with a private balcony, and almost all of these have good views of the lake. The hotel is built in an L-shape around a stone terrace with lush gardens and a small swimming pool featuring a sculpted stone waterfall and separate Jacuzzi. Its restaurant serves good Guatemalan and international fare in a small dining room off the lobby, and there’s a back patio bar with an excellent view overlooking the lake.
