Getting There  Trains to Fontainebleau leave from the Gare de Lyon (schedules and info at www.transilien.fr). The trip takes 40 minutes and costs 5€ for adults and 2.50€ for children ages 4 to 10 one-way. Get off the train at Fontainebleau–Avon and take the local bus (line 1), direction Lilas, to the Chateau stop;you should use a regular Métro ticket for this. The buses come frequently and are timed to arrive at the arrival of the train from Paris. If you’re driving, take A6 south from Paris, exit Fontainebleau.
