Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Fort Lauderdale

★★★—The zenith of Fort Lauderdale’s glow up, this chic Florida-meets-Mediterranean-style retreat is another yacht themed hotel, right down to the travertine-floored lobby café named after President JFK’s yacht, the Honey Fitz. Rooms are yachty too, adorned in lots of white and navy blue, curvaceous walnut furnishings and beds that have rattan and wood headboards. But it’s the third floor that really makes you feel like you’re the king (or queen) of the world: a sundeck reminiscent of an exclusive beach club, with both adult and kid pool, unobstructed ocean views, and Evelyn’s, the hotel’s signature white, blue, and brown boite serving Mediterranean fare and rose all day, among other things. Also on site: Maass by Chef Ryan Ratino, a modern wood-fired restaurant with Japanese accents. A spa has salt wall saunas and aromatherapy steam rooms. A kids’ club, beach concierge to set you up across the street, and free use of bikes to explore the area are nice perks.
