Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood
The Seminole Tribe of Florida has created a miniature Vegas in Florida, and it’s doing a booming business, especially at the massive, 130,000-square-foot casino. One caveat though: unlike in Vegas, there are no free cocktails while you gamble. The main draw here was the casino until the massive Guitar Hotel debuted on the property in all its rock star lit up glory—allegedly even seen by NASA up in space. In addition to the 638 rooms in the Guitar Hotel, there are 168 rooms in the seven-story Oasis Tower, complete with swim-up suites overlooking the lagoon pool, and 465 rooms in the original building, the Hard Rock Hotel. All rooms have high tech amenities and mood lighting, plus Egyptian cotton sheets, and comfortable beds, though we have heard some complaints about maintenance standards. Each hotel complex has its own lagoon-style pools, with cabanas, DJ music and splashy scenes. The entire complex has 6 fine dining restaurants, 7 more casual eateries and bars. So many bars. Ten of them, last we counted. There’s also a food court, shops, two nightclubs—one open during the day, so it’s called Daer much to our chagrin, and the signature Hard Rock Live, where all the A-listers perform. If all this action has you feeling wiped out, there’s always the Rock Spa, which, in Seminole Hard Rock fashion, is also pretty sizable. Although they’re welcome, we don’t recommend this place for kids.
