Planning a trip to Freudenstadt
The Tourist Information Office is at Marktplatz 64 (tel. 07441/8640; www.freudenstadt.de). It's open May to September Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 2pm. From October to April, hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 1pm.
Getting There
By Train
Trains arrive hourly throughout the day from Frankfurt (trip time: 3 hr.) and from Munich (trip time: 4 hr.). Freudenstadt has two railway stations, the Stadtbahnhof, an older and smaller station in the center of town, and the Hauptbahnhof, about .5km (1/3 mile) south of the center. Most trains stop at both. By Bus
Bus travel tends to be convenient only for those coming from surrounding hamlets. Buses stop at both the Bahnhofplatz and the Marktplatz. For information, call tel. 07441/860130.

Driving from Stuttgart, following the B28, takes about 15 minutes; from Karlsruhe via the B462, about 30 minutes.
