You can’t get any closer to the ocean in Alma than the grounds of the Parkland, where beach, wharf, town, and the park are all steps away. Both rooms and suites feature huge windows to let in views of either the bay or of the hills. That’s the good news. On the downside are dated décor, no elevator to the upper floors, and (sometimes) threadbare towels. A dining room, the Tides specializes in seafood and enjoys the same views as the rooms.
