Just a few minutes' walk from the entrance to the Darwin Foundation, and on the east side of Avenue Charles Darwin, Hotel Silberstein offers easy access to downtown bars and restaurants. The bridge over the pool might draw a smile as it looks a little exaggerated given the pool's modest size, but the hotel's lush garden is certainly one of the most charming in Puerto Ayora, drawing both guests and native songbirds. Its restaurant has one of the best reputations in town, particularly for its fish dishes.

Rooms have access to the veranda overlooking the garden. Wooden beams and accents on the built-in beds provide warm accents to the rooms otherwise dominated by white floor tiles and walls. For island hoppers, the hotel has its own travel agency and dive center across the street.
