Except at the restaurants at the major hotels, which almost always require reservations, dining is laid-back and often open-air in Puerto Ayora. In Puerto Bazuerizo Moreno, there are a host of simple local restaurants serving Ecuadorean cuisine and fresh seafood all around the downtown. On Isabela Island, the best places to eat are in the hotels (where the food is also the priciest), and the few other choices are decidedly relaxed. Tourists who tour the islands by boat will, of course, take their meals on board since most of the places you'll go are uninhabited by humans.
