A favorite among hikers—trails radiate from the property into the Glacier wilderness—this is also the smallest property Xanterra operates in Glacier, so it feels like you're really staying in a national park rather than a Disneyland hotel (as can be the case at some of the larger lodges in other parks). Units include a number of kitchenettes and some larger rooms that sleep up to six guests, and are pleasant but unremarkable, with a warm and woodsy feel. Though there’s no onsite restaurant, guests have many dining options at nearby Lake McDonald Lodge and the Apgar Village Lodge.
