After a day of hiking the steep hills of Celaque, there's nowhere better to turn than this naturally steamy pool of thermal water. The Balneario hot springs complex sits hidden on a hill submerged in pine forests outside of town. Several pools ranging from 92° to 96°F (33°-36°C) attract a steady stream of tourists and locals. It's most crowded on nights and weekends, and particularly family-friendly (there are even changing rooms here, a rarity in the country). There are a small cafe and bar near the pools, or you can buy some oranges, which are believed to help give your skin a healthy glow, from any of the vendors working the site.
