Getting There -- Take I-91 to Bellows Falls (exit 5 or 6), and follow signs to town via Route 5. From here, take Route 121 west for 12 miles to Grafton. Or, for a more scenic route, follow Route 35 north from Townshend for about 3 miles, take the left fork, and continue 7 more miles into Grafton.

Visitor Information -- The Grafton Information Center (tel. 802/843-2255; www.graftonvermont.org) is in the Daniels House on Townshend Road, behind the Grafton Inn. For information on Chester, contact the Chester Area Chamber of Commerce (tel. 802/875-2939) in the Clock Tower Building; there's also a seasonal information center on Chester's village green.
