The 1960s-era Maswik Lodge is not nearly as distinctive as Bright Angel Lodge and El Tovar Hotel, but it offers a great value. You're a short walk to the South Rim, so they're aren't any views, and the rooms don't have elaborate amenities, but they are more than functional, especially for visitors who plan on spending their days on the trails. Units in Maswik South are smaller and show a bit of age, while the pricier units in Maswik North have more square footage, less wear, and open up into the forest. There are also summer-only standalone cabins that are similar to the units in Maswik South.
