Less formal than the dining room at El Tovar, this definitively Arizonan eatery is the in-the-know pick for dinner with a canyon view. The Southwestern décor is a good match for the menu, with a focus on steaks, barbecue, and Mexican fare, as well as some eminently sippable margaritas. There's also a nice selection of seafood with regional preparations, like cornmeal-crusted tilapia with spicy rice and blackened salmon with avocado butter. The lunch offerings are primarily sandwiches. Reservations are not accepted, so the wait can be an hour or more in peak summer season.
