A short walk from the ferry terminal, this former sea captain’s home overlooks glittering Flagg Cove. Rooms exude a certain old-timey farmhouse opulence, with floral bedspreads, antique furnishings, ornate wooden headboards, and clawfoot tubs. The floors are a little creaky and the walls a little thin in this aging place, but the house has character—and moreover, it has a terrific deck and beer and wine service, so you’ll likely spend any downtime enjoying an Adirondack chair and the view. The adjacent dining room serves breakfast daily and sometimes, with a reservation, dinner.
