Several different concessionaires operate the lodges within the park (including Headwaters Lodge at Flagg Ranch, which is technically inside the adjacent John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Pkwy.). Forever Resorts runs the Signal Mountain Lodge 307/543-2831; www.signalmountainlodge.com). Grand Teton Lodge Company handles Headwaters at Flagg Ranch, Colter Bay Village, Jackson Lake Lodge, and Jenny Lake Lodge (307/543-2861 for Flagg Ranch, 307/543-3100 for the others; www.gtlc.com). In the Moose Junction area, Dornan’s runs the Spur Ranch Cabins (307/733-2522; www.dornans.com) and a private owner operates Moulton Ranch Cabins (307/733-3749; www. moultonranchcabins.com).
Most park lodges open between early May and early June and close in early or mid-October (except for the Spur Ranch Cabins, open most of the year). As at Yellowstone, lodging books quickly and demand stays high throughout the season, so make reservations months in advance (or a full year ahead of time). Lodges are kept intentionally unplugged: You won’t find TVs or air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a pool at Jackson Lake Lodge.
