Conch World
Opened in 2009, this combination theme park, commercial conch farm, and educational complex is located in what was described by one local as a "way-off-the-beaten-path" spot along bumpy dirt roads; the only marking is an arrow pointing the way. Conch World is generally only open when cruise ships are in port. It features a video on the history of the conch in the TCI; some 200 onshore holding tanks containing juvenile conch of different ages; and the full-grown conchs Sally and Jerry, transferred here after a hurricane leveled its sister conch farm in Provo. The complex also includes the Pink Pearl Gift Shop and the Bare Naked Conch Cafe.
