El Silencio Lodge & Spa
This isolated luxury nature lodge features large individual bungalows scattered over a forested hillside with great views and an unmistakable sense of having finally “gotten away from it all.” Each bungalow suite comes with a King bed, a large sitting area with built-in couches that convert to two twin beds, a spacious balcony and private outdoor Jacuzzi with privacy provided by artistic bamboo screening. The newer two-bedroom family suites are the only units here that come with televisions. There are trails around the grounds and private reserve, as well as a top notch spa and gorgeous open-air yoga studio. On-site organic gardens supply the wonderful kitchen which specializes in healthy spa cuisine. El Silencio has earned “5 Leaves” in the CST Sustainable Tourism program, the highest rating.
To get here, you must first drive to the town of Sarchí. From the Pali supermarket in the center of town, head north and follow the signs. El Silencio is some 22km (13 miles) outside of Sarchí.
