Planning a trip to Haarlem

Getting There -- Trains depart at least every half-hour from Amsterdam Centraal Station for Haarlem; the ride takes 15 minutes, and a round-trip ticket is 9€. By car from Amsterdam, take N5 and A5.

Visitor Information -- VVV Haarlem, Grote Markt, 2 (www.haarlemmarketing.nl; tel. 023/531-7325), is housed in the Stadhuis, one of the city’s oldest buildings. The office is open April through September Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am to 5pm, and Sunday noon to 4pm; October through March Monday 1 to 5:30pm, Tuesday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
